Welcome to our site, we would like to offer some experience and some pros and con's about working from home.

The first thing you need to be honest about is do you want a business or a job?

Often people feel at a time in their lives that they can't find enough money to pay the bills, that they cant find a position that suits their skills, sometimes they consider the working from home option.

This is often when the first of the shocks occur, people often have
 never considered the fact that this involves spending money, pens, paper, advertising, registration, promotional items and often the stock.


If this is a major issue, the answer is you are looking for a job, in a job the deal is straight forward, you exchange time for money, you may have an opportunity to discuss the starting rate and that's it, an employer will provide all you need to accomplish the task and will pay you accordingly.

As an employee you will have a degree of stability in knowing that if you do so many hours you will get so much cash, tax and NI is paid and if you work a length of time you accrued holidays that you take at a time that's convenient to your employer this is the norm in most countries.

Taking the other route may not suit everyone, it's a fact it doesn't, so let's look at a few aspects that will attract or discourage people.

Working from home is a great ideal for many people, no more commuting, no unpleasant people to share the majority of your day, no one telling you when you can take the kids to school, go to the doctors, attend family celebrations, taking your holidays and the list goes on.

Feeling your not paid your worth is a clear favourite for many people, starting and finishing to suit your needs. 

So what are some of the realities of working as your own boss are all the opportunities that you hear of honest and correct, will you get what you are told, what you need to do the work.

Well there are many different opportunities to chose from, filling envelopes to delivering leaflets, running party plans, door to door, catalogues that are collected with orders, typing for large offices, selling insurance and mortgages, discount telephone and power contract, delivering parcels, working in the wellness industry, fast food franchise, oven cleaning, tyre fitting, windscreen fitting the list is very long.

Which is right for you? This is what you need to weigh up, why are you doing it?

Working from home will only work if you do, what ever option you take, you have to get up and get going, no one is going to switch you on, and it's all down to you!

You will have to provide yourself with the tools you need, pens, paper, stamps envelopes petrol or bus fares, phone bills, you will have to promote your business, no one is going to do it for you, in the case of franchises the premises, fittings and stock, others are the van and equipment.

So is it a little pin money or is it a change of income that you are looking for, some of the options have the same limitations of employment, limited to the hours in a day and days in a week, the good news we all have the same, we just need to utilise it to work smart and not necessary hard.

Often we hear of people that have started a business, have the strain of overheads, repayments, working eighteen hours a day, and end up burnout, exhausted or worse.

The hours for money is ok, it's a fine option for giving your self flexibility of when you work, the limitations are on how much you want and how many hours you want to work, this however would suit the majority of people if they were honest about what they are prepared to invest in their future and what the really want.

Then there are the other people who are sure that they want more, they deserve more and they are prepared to do what it takes, people like mums that have spent their early years bringing up their families, people that didn't achieve what conventional businesses consider the right qualifications, multi level marketing has no predetermined rules, every one is equal.

So what can we say about this, well the fist thing is WHY! Three letters, without this it won't matter what option you go for you will fail!

We have to have the reason to do it, the reason to get up in the cold, the reason to do the same thing again and again until you get the custom and business you want, to not take a day off if the sun shines, Oh yes this is not the easy route, this it the tough route, it isn't for just anyone, often people that have been made redundant and made to feel over the hill or under qualified excel in this industry.

Looking first at a basic fact, if you are not prepared to fund yourself through a training programme that will be ongoing as new systems and products are introduced you will probably wont be taken serious, without the skills and understanding, you will not succeed.

Franchising is a popular option; it gives a feeling and an outer impression of ownership, often an important factor to people when choosing what to do.

Having you own vehicle sign written with your name, self contained to do the job, based from home, having an outlet, having a premises in the high street, your name above the door, these often have drew backs that people have not considered, the tax's the maintenance, the rates the staff and the stock you are obliged to have.

Many people go into these options feeling the sky is the limit, sadly this is not the reality, the word territories comes into play, the area you start with often becomes smaller as your income rises, this in effect limits you income, replacement of equipment is not for you to decide but the franchise owner's choice.

These are some realities, employing people are always difficult, responsibility of health and safety often a stress, have you considered these facts.

Other options may well have worked in the recent past and can show its historic success, in business there is an expression called the wave, take for instance mobile phones, are they in front of the wave, at the crest, or behind the wave, the location is vital?

The truth is they are behind the wave, people replace phones and change companies, there is no massive new market as was the case ten to fifteen years ago, the same is true of many commodities that we have, what the ideal place to be is in front of a wave, the boom is yet to occur.

Estate agents, mortgage advisors and insurance sales people were up until a short while ago were on the crest of the wave; they have now slipped down the back of the wave and are left in its wake.

You know what your goal is and you have a why, so now you need a business that will stand up on its own, one in the front of the wave.

So do you need an office, do you need to drive, do you need a new car, do you have to buy lots of stock?

NO you don't, you know you need training and support, you know you need a product that is in front of the wave, what else?

You need a product that is in demand, that's a consumable product, that works and people want, products for every one, selling high value goods are all well and good, but they are normally only bought every five years, you want something that people need weekly or monthly.

You need a business that has a proven track record, respected world wide, substantial financial strength, company that will support and train you, that offers equal opportunities for everyone.

Some companies offer you to build a team, receive an income based on a commission or bonus based on sales, these can often be difficult to understand, often people build a group of people and find that the return is smaller than excepted, you are looking for a company that has an established pay structure, who pay out what ever is due and regardless of country the goods are sold.

Building a team is the only way to get two things, one, the high income that you don't have the hours in the day to achieve, in the words of Paul J Getty, who at the time was one of the richest men in the world "I would rather have one percent of the effort of 100 people that 100 percent of one" this is leverage the using the time of others and skills of others, an international business offers an income 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Networking is now an advantage to allow businesses to grow at a very low start up cost that allows high incomes for anyone that is prepared to build their business, it's vital that the basic training is available in what ever county or country they live.

Multi level marketing is an opportunity used world wide to offer an equal opportunity for everyone to build their own network.

Remember you need that credible, consumable product that gives a high financial return that you can trust, that you know works. 

Often people are obliged to purchase large amounts of the products before they know about the way of distribution and more important the results of the products, this leads to them becoming stressed and throwing in the towel, they try to sell so hard to friends and relatives, that in no time at all no one speaks to them.

You will only succeed if you love the product and the product does what is says it will do, look at this with great care, the truth is people buy your enthusiasm for the product, they buy you first, you need to be excited and honest.

Some home based distributorships that are in our group, I'm in, the wellness industry, are run from the space under the stairs in the house, the office tables the ironing board, this is true, It's what your attitude is and how strong your why is, remember WHY!.

You need to organise your self a few basics, what ever you do, what ever your business, you need to find a space that you can work, away from the TV, kids any distractions. 

Set your self a time to devote to your new business, employ yourself.

You need a diary day page to view, couple of pens, your phone , your product catalogue and price list, if your calls are to do with team building, a training date calendar, often your chosen company will have some simple scripts, when you first start you will use them all the time, so if you can laminate them they will last longer, even when you have your confidence, they are still great to keep to the thread of the conversation if you get distracted.

Ashford:

Charles Dickens, wrote “All Roads Lead To Ashford” And so it was, Ashford was the commercial hub, farmers drove their stock to market, fishermen their catch from the sea, smugglers their contraband from the marsh, and so it was in those days.

Although people refer to Ashford as one of the “Prescott” New Towns, Ashford has it’s roots firmly placed many years before, in fact the Romans occupied the general area, it became a settlement after the Dane’s invaded the country around 893AD although the inhabitants of the stockade at Great Chart and Appledore, taking flight to the forests of Wye, later the Saxon lord whom they fought with gave them the land that is the town of Ashford, its name taken it’s thought “Essetesford” that stood for ash trees growing near a ford, the ford over the river Eshe or Eshet, which was a tributary of the river Stour which rises in Lenham.

Within the Doomsday book written be the Normans after the 1066 invasion, Ashford was entered having a church and two mills.

It’s importance as a market town was established in 1600AD, today the town still holds a weekly cattle market, as well as being the home of many thriving businesses and an International station that Eurostar, takes 90 minutes to Paris.
